Staring out the window

I saw my son Griffin and my kitten Belle staring out the window together. I knew that I'd probably blow the shot since I'm terrible at this kind of lighting but I'll post it anyways because I think it's kind of cute and it's the only one I took! If anyone has any advice on backlighting, pleae feel free to fill me in. I metered on the cat with eval metering. Oh, by the way, Griffin is feeling MUCH better today - he even smiled!
