Museum day

Today we all headed out to the museum. It's not your typical type of museum but rather a living history museum, and it's all outside. There are old buildings, old relics (well from the early century) it's really all about how people in Vermont lived early on. It's so great. They have an old school house, a real blacksmith shop, an old carosel (still working much to the kids glee!) an old general store, many different kinds of gardens, a pond...you get the idea. So today I was there with new eyes...as a photographer! It was amazing. There are tons of old stone walls, old doorways, little paths leading into forests, a covered bridge...the photographic opportunities are endless. Unfortunately I didn't get much cooperation from my kids. They are just not interested in modeling for me - no surprise there. But I did manage to capture a few of Ella.

I love the bottom pic esp- her smile is just so natural :) Isn't it funny what you "see" now with your eyes? The other day I drove by an office park and had these rocks and benches by a water fountain and I thought "A-ha! I'll have to bring the kids here for pics" lol
